Not Always Cold Storage

We definately think that the right way to store vegetables is to put into the refrigerator to keep it fresh. But it was not all foods can be stored in the refrigerator. Here are five examples:
1.      Tomato

Technically tomato is a fruit, but closer is referred to as a vegetable. If you've planted tomatoes, then you will know that tomatoes love the heat and hate the cold. Apparently even after being picked, tomatoes still can not stand the cold. The fridge is not a suitable place to store tomatoes. Tomatoes stored in the refrigerator to wither and although it still can be used for cooking, but not to be eaten fresh. Keep it on the kitchen table (but not in direct sunlight) and enjoy the time was ripe.

2.      Basil

Just like tomato, basil also like the heat, so if stored in a cool place would cause the basil wilt prematurely. Basil will be in a condition best if kept on the kitchen table and treated like fresh flowers. Handful of basil can be stored in a cup of water (change the water every day or every other day) and away from sunlight. Wrap loosely with a plastic bag to keep it moist (but make sure the plastic has a hole for the entrance of fresh air).

3.      Potato

Potatoes are well kept at a cool temperature but not cold temperatures can make frozen. Potatoes are well kept in a temperature of about 7.2 degrees Celsius, about 10 degrees warmer than the refrigerator in general. Most of us do not have a cellar (the dark and cold temperature to store root vegetables such as potato tubers), so storing potatoes in a paper bag in a cool place (like a closet food) is the best.
Why paper? Because paper has more pores for benapas, unlike plastic. So potatoes will not rot easily. And why not a refrigerator? Storing potatoes in the refrigerator can convert the starch into simple sugars, which can affect the taste, texture, and process maturity.

4.      Onions

Onions out of the ground with a thin protective skin. To create and maintain a thin layer of skin, onions need a "cure" and stored in a dry place such as food storage cabinets, which are not selembap refrigerator. In addition, the lack of air circulation can make a rotten onion. Therefore below should not be stored near potatoes, which emit gases and moisture and can cause onion rot faster.
Keep onions in cold rooms, dry, dark and well ventilated. (Light can cause a bitter taste of onions). But not all the onions should be treated equally. Leek and chives have a high water content and more easily damaged, so it must be stored in the refrigerator.

5.      Avocado

When we buy a rock-hard avocado, avocados do not store it in the refrigerator, as it will slow down the process of maturation. But if we have avocados that are ripe and will not be consumed immediately, keep it in the refrigerator to prevent rapid decay. So the core is in storage avocado, avocados are not ripe store in a closet, and store avocados are ripe when the fruit is in the fridge will not be eaten right away.

One of The Reason Why The Prophet Ibrahim Has A Long Life

-->
Humans have come to know and be familiar with yogurt for more than 4000 years. In the Middle East, yogurt became a staple everyday, traditionally made in homes, and consumed by the whole society. Residents in parts of the world believed that fermented milk can maintain health and prevent and treat disease. Yogurt is actually a traditional drink Balkans and the Middle East, but is now grown all over the world. Yoghurt is preferred because of its freshness, rich aroma, and texture. The distinctive flavor of the yogurt is caused by the formation of lactic acid, acetic acid, carbonyl, acetaldehyde, acetone, asetoin, diasetil, and others. Yogurt is one of the fermented milk product of the oldest and quite popular around the world. It looked like porridge or ice cream but with a slightly sour taste. The word "yogurt" is derived from the Turkish language, ie "jugurt" which means sour milk. That is why until now yoghurt is often also referred to as "sour milk".
The history begins with the discovery of fermented milk unintended manner. The wanderer in the desert in the Middle East that brought supplies of milk in containers made from the intestines of sheep being surprised to learn that milk will drink has become semi-solid. It turns out the milk has undergone fermentation caused by bacteria from the intestines of sheep. Possibly because of thirst, then drink milk that has undergone fermentation with forced drunk too. Apparently the taste of milk that has undergone fermentation matches nomadic tongue. Finally, a fermented milk drink that is more popular than fresh milk. Fermented milk flavor is delicate, refreshing acid, and more durable. Residents in the area are then studied the process of making a fermented milk. They then learn how to make fermented milk was then called yogurt with the milk before adding a little yogurt. This habit became part of the tradition and culture of drinking yogurt regularly.

The story listed yogurt Gospels as the Prophet Ibrahim serve yogurt to three guests who are actually angels under an oak. Some stories claimed yogurt drink is one of the causes Ibrahim has a very long life. Yogurt has not become a phenomenal beverage for centuries in the world, until due to biologist Ilya Mechnikov, a Russian scientist but resident in France researching about aging. He was interested in the condition of the people of Bulgaria have a long-lived. Finnally he suspected that drinking yogurt every day either morning, afternoon or evening with the people who lead them Bulgaria longevity. Prof. Mechnikov suspect, the inclusion of yogurt in the colon able to clear bacterial decay. Through further research, he was able to isolate the two types of bacteria found in yogurt. The bacteria is a change milk into yogurt and time of entry to combat intestinal bacteria decay. In conclusion, as written in the book Prof. Mechnikov's The prolongation of Life, health and longevity associated with the Bulgarian fermented milk. One of the two bacteria called Lactobacillus bulgaricus  then, to honor or at least reminiscent of Bulgaria. Books and Prof. research. Mechnikov spread throughout Europe and America. Yogurt finally recognized by the western world, and arouse curiosity and interest of many people in Bunia west. From this yogurt started getting known and popular throughout the world. Although the theory of Prof.Mechnikov about aging was not as yogurt, but yogurt already known around the world and the results of further research, it is known that yogurt actually has health benefits.

Making a Beautiful Rainbow Cake

A beautiful rainbow cake

Rainbow Cake was very tasty very and comfortable when in view because of its shape like a rainbow makes us hungry our stomachs. This time will share the recipe rainbow cake. This cake can be presented at the special moments. Kaitlin Flannery is the first to make a rainbow cake, rainbow cake recipe really is easy as cookies and cake recipes with colorful like a rainbow is being favored by various circles. So many searches about making rainbow cake recipe or how to make a rainbow cake. Rainbow Cake fame was worldwide, not only in foreign countries, Indonesia was also booming with this cake.

Rainbow Cake Recipe: (for 1 pan)
  1. 400 gr sugar
  2. 5 egg white grains
  3. 226 grams butter
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. 4 teaspoons baking powder
  6. 355 gr UHT milk
  7. 375 grams flour
  8. Food coloring
  9. Vanilla essence
  10. 100 grams of white butter
  11. 100 gr cream cheese

To give you some perspective, a typical recipe for a 2-layer 9″ cake yields anywhere from 4 to 5 cups of batter.

Now, grease and flour those cake pans!
Pans
Next, mix up the batter for your cake and get 6 bowls (or your fanciest plastic-ware) ready.
Make sure for using foodgrade plastic bowl
You want to evenly divide your cake batter between the 6 bowls/containers. The best way to do this is to measure the batter into a large (4-cup) measuring cup (might have to do this two or three times) or to weigh the batter, and then do a quick “divided by 6″ to get the amount you should be scooping into each container. This is probably the hardest part of the whole process.
Here we go!!
Now, round up your food coloring – liquid or gels.
Food coloring
Time to color away! You’ll want to make the fun rainbow colors, naturally: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. If you’re using the little 4-color kit like me, just combine red + yellow for orange, yellow + blue for green, and red + blue for purple.

Be careful, not putting in too much

Use as much as needed to get the color hue you’re going for. (Alternately, you could really do this for any color combinations you’d like. You can keep half plain white and the other half brown to do a zebra.

See how beautiful they are.

Now, we’re ready to load up the cake pans. You have two options here:

Option #1:
You can make one cake layer red, orange and yellow, and make the second layer green, blue and purple. I chose to do the cake this way so that the individual colors really popped and you could see all of them really well.

Option #2:
You can do all six colors in each layer. To do it this way, divide each color in half between the pans. So, half of the red would go in one pan, and the other half in the other pan, and then proceed the same way.

As I mentioned, I used Option #1, so that’s what you’ll see illustrated here. First, pour the red batter into the bottom of the cake pan.

Bottom layer

Next, add the orange batter on top of the red. Slowly pour the batter into the middle of the pan. As you do so, the red layer below it will spread out.

Red will spread out (like morning sun)

Finally, pour the yellow batter in the same way you poured the orange.

Beautiful degradation
Repeat the process in the other cake pan, starting with the purple, and then adding the blue and green.

Make another one
Bake those babies up!
Once the cakes have completely cooled, I like to wrap them in plastic wrap and refrigerate them for at least an hour. I find that it’s much easier to level cold cakes then room temperature ones. They are firmer and don’t crumble, making for a cleaner cut.

Here’s what the tops of the cakes looked like after they were leveled. It's so colorful!
